Importance of the atmospheric water absorption bands
The
reflectance from this bands of the short wave infrared domains are not suitable
for analysis. Model fitting does not work while the deviation are included, as
the parameter algorithm respond to the abnormity of the data. The related bands
are linear interpolated. Due to the interpolation we can fit the model to the
complete wavelength range. The related parameter describing the atmospheric
water absorption bands have to be omitted from the analysis, but, in case of
requirement, the parameter from the remaining domains are available for the
multivariate analysis. The figure demonstrates die model fit (green line) to the
linearised water absorption bands (red line).
